The new fragrance, named Andy Warhol’s Silver Factory, after Warhol’s foil, silver paint, mirror covered studio on East 47th Street. It was here Warhol created some of his most notable (and controversial) works. The Silver Factory also became epic center of psychedelic 60s, where musicians, film stars, wannabes, and petty criminals converged.

Bond No. 9 envisaged this special product through and through, even down to the packaging. The bottle, in textured silver, features an unique graphic drawn from silkscreened paintings of Campbell’s Soup Can by Warhol. Since the original edible subject was “Condensed”, No. 9 added its own twist and formulated a 28% fragrance concentrate.

The scent was specially formulated with Warhol in mind as well. Violet, Andy Warhol’s favorite scent, was added. The input of incense harks back to the 1960s. A dash of iris, which has a similarity to the aroma of silver. Scheduled to release on December 1st, the Andy Warhol’s Silver Factory fragrance will be available at Bond No. 9’s four locations in New York City, its online store, and Saks Fifth Avenue department stores across the U.S.
