There is growing influence of sub-culture in Taiwan, especially among the younger generation. What are your thoughts on this?

Simply put it, to me, sub-culture is similar to tattoos. Many people opted for tattoos because we all look the same in clothes. Tattoo is a medium that permits individualism and rebellious ambitions. Today, the youth demographic seeks sub-culture reminds me of hippies back 60’s and 70’s, finding a way to counter the accepted norms.

那對於次文化有什麼看法？又如何看待這些年輕人的流行文化？對我來說，次文化的表現就像是身體上面的刺青，許多人選擇刺青是因為在服裝上面我們總是大同小異，刺青是讓自我反叛、與眾不同的一種媒介，現在的年輕人追求次文化，就像當初的嬉皮一樣，尋求反體制的表現。
