Olympic Green

Seats 91,000 spectators (80,000 permanent, 11,000 temporary), the Beijing National Stadium is the centerpiece of the upcoming Summer Olympics. Designed by Pritzker Prize winning architects of Herzog & de Meuron, and constructed mainly from large steel beams contorted into an unique form. Liken to a bird’s nest, Herzog & de Meuron wanted to express the doctrine of the Olympics Spirit - the difference in cultures and nationalities coming together for one cause.

北京國家奧運體育館

擁 有91,000觀眾席次(80,000個為常設座位,11,000則為彈性開放)的北京國家奧運體育館（Beijing National Olympic Green），是今年北京奧運的中心。由普立茲建築獎（Pritzker Prize）得主Herzog 及 de Meuron所設計。主要的結構是利用大型的鋼樑，交織成特殊的形狀。Herzog 及 de Meuron則說靈感來自於鳥巢，張顯奧運包含萬象，不分文化、民族的精神象徵。
